We will delve deep into the origins of the Cyrillic alphabet, folk crafts, constructivism, Soviet DIY, and metamodernism. With analysis of the visual language of Russian icons, motives behind folk costumes in modern fashion, and an exploration of styles such as baroque, classicism, Art Nouveau, and more from a contemporary design perspective. Our aim is to decode Russian culture, rediscover forgotten valuable art movements, objects, and centuries through the eyes of contemporary Russian designers and design studios.
